Designed to cut out the need for strict preparation protocols, it's easier than ever to prepare your carp bait (and catch more carp) with Impulse Liquid fish attractant.

  1. Always thoroughly shake the bottle before use.
  2. Remove the lid from the dosing chamber.
    Squeeze the bottle to fill the dosing chamber to the desired amount (typically 30+mL per kg of bait)
  3. Apply to the desired bait.
  4. Always use Impulse dosed baits within 48 hours of preparation.
  5. Cast your line - and watch your catch rate soar.


Additional information:

  • Avoid using any other amino acid products (such as hydros) simultaneously with Impulse.
  • Once applied, Impulse Liquid has a similar shelf life to any other “raw” product. After use, reseal and keep your liquid Impulse cool to use again next time. Sealed bottled Impulse Liquid has an almost indefinite shelf life.
  • Impulse can be used (and even excel) under the harshest temperature extremes because it stimulates the feeding response, prompting fish to feed, even when they wouldn’t normally.
  • You literally can’t overuse Impulse. Thanks to the proprietary multi-amino acid blend, you will never see the ‘overstimulation’ effect that you can get with single amino acid products. Not only that, but Impulse is food-grade, so even large quantities won’t harm aquatic (or human) life.

The science behind the solution

Impulse is the result of nearly 20 years of research into the effects of dissolved amino acids (AAs) on the feeding behaviour of carp and other cyprinoid species, such as barbel and chub, as well as catfish.

Independent studies conducted at Sparsholt College, UK conclusively showed that Impulse out-fished similar undosed baits by a factor of greater than 2:1. That’s right, Impulse has been scientifically proven to better than double anglers’ catch rates!

The underlying success of Impulse is due to its unique dual amino acid formulation. This proprietary AA blend not only stimulates an involuntary feeding response in fish, but, crucially, also maintains this optimal level of stimulation over an extended dosage range. This key breakthrough now allows anglers to be generous with the application of Impulse, as (unlike other single AA products) it can in no way overstimulate the fish. So long as the recommended minimum dose or more of Impulse is applied to the angler’s bait a significant increase in catch rate will result, with more Impulse simply broadening the area of attraction.

Applications

    Pellets

    Apply Impulse Liquid to a range of pellets, either as a surface treatment for hard or feed pellets, or soaked/pumped for expander pellets. You can either use them instantly or soak for several hours before use.

    Ground Bait

    Prefer ground bait? Add Impulse Liquid to the wetting agent for your ground. Just mix 30+mL of Impulse with the water used to wet 1Kg of ground bait.

    Sweetcorn

    Sweetcorn is a commonly used and vibrant bait, which makes it a perfect carrier for Impulse Liquid. Simply add 30+mL of Impulse to a can of corn and refrigerate overnight prior to use.

    Impulse is PVA friendly. Use it as a dip or spray with any PVA product.

Impulse Liquid isn't just carp bait. It induces a spontaneous feeding response among a wide variety of species including: barbel, bream, carp, F1 hybrids, perch, roach, and tench (in UK tests); as well as Asian carp, buffalo, catfish, grass carp, shad, sturgeon, and trout (in US tests).

Impulse Liquid helps you to catch more carp and other fish. It is an olfactory molecular Recognition feeding stimulant, targeting a specific class of chemoreceptor sites at the fishes' olfactory membranes. If introduced into an aquatic environment it induces an enhanced searching and feeding response from a broad cross-section of fish species. Essentially, it provokes fish to search and feed — leading them right to your bait.

Yes! The latest version of Impulse Liquid (V2.1) now has no upper limit to inclusion and cannot invoke an overdose response. Any soaked baits should be used within 48 hours.

Impulse Liquid is an incredibly versatile liquid attractant, and there is a huge variety of ways you can prepare baits with it. See instructions for use for more information.

While this is possible for some specially designed highly porous bird food mixes, it is not recommended to include Impulse Liquid into typical homemade base mixes as the resulting boilies are not typically porous enough to generate the required concentration of Impulse around the bait in situ. The key point is that a threshold concentration of Impulse must be established around the bait to invoke feeding stimulation – this is simply not possible through the very low leak rate associated with encapsulation within a boilie.
